Inspiring change

"You change a life's fate whenever you lend a hand to a lost animal. Your love and care can help an abandoned little life find a warm home again and a true sense of belonging. Let's work together because every life deserves to be cared for."

General Overview

Youth Business Utopia (YBU), a non-profit organization founded by high school students, was established after we learned about the need to help stray animals. Our members range from the entire spectrum of the US, mainly Chinese high-schoolers studying abroad in the US, including Chinese Americans. The team has around 50 people, recruited in 2 months. Our goal is to help many needy people in society through our little power, and as our name suggests, we strive to turn our world into a good and happy "Utopia." Starting with speaking out for stray animals, we hope to work together with all of you who are passionate about social welfare and, little by little, use our power to influence and help more vulnerable groups. To get closer to and eventually reach our desired goal, we aim to raise funds by learning about today's different markets and marketing data from select sales or some other business activities. Eventually, we will donate all the funds we acquire to welfare organizations that need financial support. YBU is a long-term project, but to learn more about the different markets, we choose to do one short-term project at a time.

Our Mission & Impact

Do you know? There are an estimated 600 million stray animals worldwide, mainly due to the relentless abandonment and unneutered reproduction of animal nature. Can you bear to walk away whenever you see those eyes on the streets? Homeless animals are helpless in the face of wind, rain, hunger, and pain. How can they not yearn for a warm shelter? Stray animals are hungry for food and shelter and need medical attention. However, many homeless animals are sick or injured, but no one can help them. Our mission is to be a voice for stray animals and create better conditions for them to survive.

To make our impact quantifiable, we selected one local stray animal shelter after a detailed examination. Although, as high school students, our current capability is limited, by starting on a small scale, we anticipate that there will be sustainable development in the future. In a little over one year span, we raised $700+ in funds through hosting sales in two summers. Our sales took place in different areas around the world, bridging a tight connection between Asia and North America. Simultaneously, we raised awareness for stray animals among different ethnic groups, making our impact international. By the end of August 2024, we had successfully donated $800, by gathering the love of people from all over the place, to our designated organization —— Stray from the Heart, NYC.
